Hello! I’m so glad you stopped by! My name is Amy and I am a school based speech language pathologist. During my time in the schools I have worked with children aged 2-21, but I am currently working in an elementary setting and I LOVE it! I love that I get to work with many of the same children year after year and watch them grow and mature! The enthusiasm that elementary-aged kids have is contagious! I have a passion for working with children with Autism. I rarely make it through a therapy session without targeting social skills in some way, shape, or form. We do lots of moving and grooving during speech sessions (especially during our never-ending winter months) and I love incorporating literacy and phonemic awareness into my therapy sessions!
I started Speechasaurus about four years ago. Since that time, Speechasaurus has grown and evolved beyond what I could’ve imagined! Although it is a lot of work, I am so happy I started on this adventure! I am most thankful for the relationships I have been able to build through Speechasaurus with other SLPs all over the world (including you, even if we’ve never actually “talked”)! I love seeing what everyone else is doing in their therapy rooms, and I am so happy when other people find my posts and products useful!
When I’m not “speeching” I love spending time with my family and friends. My hubby is an audiologist and our yellow lab Dakota is a stinker! I love spending time with my parents, brothers, sister-in-law, and two beautiful nieces. I LOVE yoga, and last fall/winter I went through a 200 hour training to become a registered yoga teacher. I also play in a co-ed volleyball league.
I am also over-the-moon excited to share that we are expecting our first bundle of joy in February! We could NOT be more excited to meet her!
All Speechasaurus activity is my own opinions and completed on my own time. It is in no way affiliated with my employer.
